Accessibility
We want everyone to be able to play Inkspektor. We aim to meet the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.2 at level AA.
What works
- Every page and the whole game work with a keyboard, with a visible focus outline.
- Clues never depend on color, so colorblind players get the same information as everyone else.
- If your device asks for reduced motion, people on the square stop walking, the screen doesn't shake and colors appear without the bloom animation.
- Text has strong contrast, and pages still work when you zoom to 200% or more.
- Buttons and links are big enough to tap easily.
- Screen readers get labels for controls and announcements for wrong guesses and solved cases.
- Instead of dragging, you can tap or click an empty spot to move the view there, or use the zoom buttons.
Known limitations
Inkspektor is a game about finding people in a drawing, so the investigation itself depends on sight and can't be fully played with a screen reader. Everything else on the site can.
